Brokerage House SEO: Doubling Organic Clicks in One Year
Brand: Pakistan’s leading online stock trading platform
Scope: Organic growth, technical SEO, content, lead generation architecture
Where it started
I joined in 2025. The site had accumulated years of technical debt — a previous replatform and a hacking incident had left Search Console full of unresolved issues, and organic performance had flatlined. In 2024, the site recorded roughly 94,000 clicks from Google Search.
The organic turnaround

The work was not exotic. It was systematic: a full Search Console cleanup, fixing legacy pages one by one, on-page optimization, technical fixes, and targeted new content.
Two content plays did the heavy lifting:
Financial calculators as tool pages. I identified calculator-style queries with steady search demand and built 10–13 dedicated tool pages. Each stabilized at roughly 1,000 clicks per month — durable, high-intent traffic that compounds without ongoing content investment.
Investor education content. Foundational articles targeting first-time investor queries — how to invest in stocks in Pakistan, PSX basics — where corporate competitors had left the field almost entirely open.
The result: clicks grew from ~94,000 (2024) to ~194,000 (2025) — more than doubling in one year. GA4 tells the same story: organic search users grew from 36,944 to 86,726, a 134% increase, with returning organic users up 179%.

Rebuilding the account-opening funnel
The bigger business problem wasn’t traffic — it was conversion. Opening a brokerage account in Pakistan requires a long, regulated onboarding: personal information, professional details, KYC, and document submission through NCCPL verification. Existing flow pushed users into that full-length form immediately, and nearly all website leads came from the Android app instead, dumped into a custom Zoho Creator CRM managed by agents.
I redesigned the funnel around progressive capture:
- A short website form collecting only what’s needed to start — name, email, phone, and CNIC for the NCCPL OTP.
- An automated KYC email triggered on submission, collecting source-of-income and profile information.
- A document submission stage as a second form, completing the regulated requirements.

The two-form architecture worked well enough that the team connected the Android app’s lead flow into the same document-submission pipeline.
The numbers
- Website form went live in June 2025. ~26,000 leads captured from the website form alone in the first 6–7 months.
- By March 2026, the document-submission stage had processed 40,000 completed submissions across web and app — not top-of-funnel signups, but fully documented, sales-qualified applicants.
- Organic clicks: 94K → 194K in one year (+106%)
- Organic users (GA4): +134%, returning organic users +179%
The takeaway
In markets where most businesses still under-invest in SEO, disciplined fundamentals — technical cleanup, tool pages, intent-matched content — produce outsized returns. And the highest-leverage growth work is often not acquiring more traffic, but removing friction between the traffic you already have and the business outcome.
